Gatehouse by Elm Education

The AI host for your school's website.

She answers parents' questions — at nine o'clock at night, in whatever language they ask in, out loud or in writing — captures the enquiry, and hands your admissions team the follow-up already written.

The problem every admissions team has

A hundred families visit.
You hear from two.

100families visit your website
2fill in the enquiry form
98leave without a word

You paid to bring all hundred of them there. The ninety-eight had a question — about fees, about transport, about whether there is a place for their daughter next September — and nobody was there to answer it.

Meet the host

Someone on the door,
every hour of the day.

Not a menu and not a decision tree. Gatehouse puts a genuine conversation on your website — the colleague you'd put on the door if you could staff it around the clock, who knows your school and says only what your team has approved.

Not a form. A conversation at nine o'clock at night, with the family who was about to leave.

Gatehouse is the product. Holly is our host — on your site she can carry your school's name, voice and colours.

And you can actually talk to her

They ask in their language.
She answers in it.

Out loud, too. A family can press the microphone and have a real spoken conversation in a natural voice — she listens, checks the facts your school approved, and replies while they are still on the page, in the language they came with.

Your website is written in one or two languages. She isn't limited to them.

  • English
  • العربية
  • Français
  • Español
  • 中文
  • Deutsch
  • Português
  • …and more

Arabic is the one we know best — it runs on this site, and Setting The Standard is taught in it — but the same holds for whatever language a family brings. In an international school that is the difference between an enquiry and a bounce: the parent who would never have trusted an English-only form gets a proper answer instead.

What your team gets

Everything she learns lands in one place —
and doesn't just sit there.

What families actually asked

Every conversation summarised — including the questions your website isn't answering, in parents' own words.

Which families are serious

Enquiries ranked by warmth on the evidence in the conversation — year group, timing, how far along they are — not on a gut feeling.

The follow-up, already written

The family gets an acknowledgement straight away; your registrar gets the enquiry and the next step, drafted and ready to send.

Open mornings that fill themselves

She offers the visit, takes the booking, keeps the diary straight and chases the families who never replied.

You stop reading transcripts and start reading a to-do list that's already half done.

What it costs

One price per school,
billed annually.

Never per conversation — you should never have to ration the thing you are paying for.

Your school Per year Included
Day school — up to 600 pupils £6,000 Up to 1,500 conversations a year
Senior or large day school — 600 pupils and above £9,000 Up to 4,000 conversations a year
Boarding or international — any size £12,000 Unlimited conversations · English and Arabic
Groups and federations — two schools or more Per campus Talk to us

Plus a one-off £750 to build your knowledge base with you, put it in front of your staff for approval, and install it.

Go past your allowance and we will not bill you for it, and we will not switch her off. We tell you at 80%, and a school that finishes the year above its tier moves up at renewal.

Average independent day fees are around £22,000 a year and boarding around £42,500 (ISC, 2025/26) — so a single additional enrolled family covers the subscription many times over.

Getting started

Live on your site
in four steps.

We set Gatehouse up with you. Your team approves what she is allowed to say before she says a word to any parent.

The price for your school is published above — one annual fee by tier, plus a one-off set-up.

  1. 01

    Tell her about your school

We load your facts, your pages and your tone of voice — fees, entry points, term dates, open mornings — and your team approves every one.

  2. 02

    Paste one line of code

A single script tag on your website. Nothing else changes, and nothing else breaks.

  3. 03

    She starts talking to families

In writing or out loud, in their language, on every page — evenings, weekends and holidays included.

  4. 04

Your team works from the dashboard

Warm families, drafted follow-ups, visit bookings, and the questions your site isn't answering.

  • Nothing unapproved is ever said. Every edit becomes a draft until a person on your team signs it off.
  • Your data stays yours. Hosted in the EU, with a retention period you set and one-click erasure of any conversation.
  • A data-processing agreement is in place before you go live, and we complete school security questionnaires.

Not only for schools

The engine isn't
education-specific.

Only the approved knowledge changes. We built Gatehouse for admissions teams, but a clinic, a law firm or a hotel has the same leak — a hundred visitors, two enquiries, and no idea what the other ninety-eight wanted.

Come and talk to her yourself.

Holly is on this page right now — open the chat in the corner and ask her the questions your parents ask. Then tell us what you'd want her to do for your school.
